Squirrels road safety afternoon

As part of our PSHE, 'Healthy Me', we have been learning about road safety.

This week in PSHE, the Squirrels learned how to stay safe on and near the roads. We talked about the dangers and hanzards when walking on the pavements and crossing the roads. We talked about the steps Stop, Think, Look and Listen, and the children made their own posters to help them remember how to be safe crossing the road. We also learnt about different road signs and types of crossings. Outside, the we practiced stopping at the kerb, choosing a safe place to cross, looking for signs, and crossing carefully in our role‑play activities.
