Uniform

School Uniform / Items & Kits

The school Uniform which we expect all children to wear consists of: -

  • Navy sweatshirt or cardigan with the school logo
  • Grey or black trousers, shorts, skirt or pinafore
  • White or pale blue polo shirt – either with a school logo or plain
  • Black, grey, navy or white socks / tights
  • Black sensible school shoes (not trainers) with Velcro fastening NO laces for infant children please
  • Waterproof coat
  • Wellington boots to stay at school for outdoor wet play times.

Summer Term: – As above plus

  • Blue gingham dress

PE Kit

Children are always required to have their PE kits in school and should be kept in a blue drawstring bag, which you will be given by the school, on their coat peg: -

  • Navy T-shirt with school logo
  • Navy or black shorts
  • Navy hoody – with a school logo or plain
  • Navy or black joggers or leggings
  • Black, navy or white ankle socks
  • Trainers with Velcro fastening NO laces for infant children.

 

Forest School Kit

Children will take part in forest school sessions throughout the school year and their forest school kits need to be kept in school like their PE kit.  The children will be given a green drawstring bag to keep their clothes in and their wellies will be kept in their cloakrooms to use during forest school and playtimes.

  • Set of old clothing e.g. trousers / leggings, long-sleeve T-shirt, jumper, socks and pants
  • Waterproof coat and leggings or overall
  • Wellington boots

All clothing items MUST BE LABELLED with child’s name please!

Children are required to bring a water bottle from home each day, also named. 

Children are issued with a bookbag and do not require a rucksack in school.

No stationery is required, or to be brought in from home.

 

School Uniform

Pupils are required to wear one garment with the school logo, either a jumper or cardigan.  Logoed uniform can be purchased direct from ‘BRAND it’ based in Barnstaple.

Other clothing, in line with our school colours, can be purchased wherever parents choose.

Some pre-loved logoed uniforms are available from our Friends of Umberleigh School for a small donation.
