This week, Squirrels Class learnt about how fossils are formed. The children then created their own sea creature fossils using air-drying clay. After hiding the fossils around the classroom, we stepped into the shoes of the famous fossil hunter Mary Anning and went on an exciting fossil hunt. Once we had discovered all the fossils, we worked together to identify the sea creatures that may have left them behind, using our observation and discussion skills to make careful predictions.
