Friendship!
Being a good friend and making new friends.
In Squirrel class, the children learnt about relationships and friendship by thinking about what being a good friend meant to them. They explored qualities such as sharing, listening, taking turns, and using kind words, and they began to understand how these behaviours helped everyone feel included. They also practised simple ways to make new friends, like introducing themselves, smiling, or inviting someone to play. Through these experiences, the children developed an early understanding that friendship is built on caring for others and making choices that help everyone feel happy and safe. We made our own paper dolls and decorated them like our friends. We also wrote some friendship words on each of our paper dolls.
