A visit from an Army Doctor: Bringing Science to Life!

A huge thank you to Milo’s mum, Nics, for taking the time to visit Squirrel Class today and tell us all about her exciting job as a doctor in the Army!
This term, Year 1 have been learning all about the human body in Science, with a particular focus on our five senses. Nics brought our learning to life by explaining how Soldier Bear uses her senses when carrying out her important duties in the Army. She also helped us understand how an Army doctor can support soldiers if something goes wrong with one of their senses.
We loved finding out more about life in the Army and learning how our five senses play such an important role in keeping us safe and helping us understand the world around us.
It was a fantastic opportunity to link our classroom learning to the real world, and we are so grateful to Nics for sharing her knowledge, experiences and time with us.
A BIG THANK YOU, NICS! We really enjoyed having you in Squirrel Class! 💚🐿️
