Today, we were delighted to welcome Paralympian David Hill to Umberleigh for a truly inspiring morning of sport, determination, and motivation.

Throughout the morning, every class took part in an exciting fitness circuit led by David. The activities encouraged everyone to challenge themselves, stay active, and most importantly, have fun. It was wonderful to see all of our pupils giving their best effort and enjoying the experience.

Following the activities, David delivered a whole-school assembly, where he shared his remarkable journey as a Paralympian. He spoke about overcoming challenges, setting goals, and the importance of perseverance, leaving pupils inspired to believe in themselves and never give up on their ambitions.

As part of David's visit, the children were asked to raise money as sponsorship for the fitness circuit, and we are incredibly proud to announce that the Umberleigh School community raised over £1,300. Thank you to all of our families and supporters for their generosity and to our pupils for their enthusiasm and commitment. Our share of this money will be used to enhance our sporting curriculum, therefore directly benefiting the children.

A huge thank you to David Hill for spending the morning with us and inspiring everyone at Umberleigh School. It is a visit that our pupils will remember for a long time.
