This week, Year 1 and Year 2 children acted out food chains during their science lesson.

We learned that every food chain begins with a producer (usually a plant), which is eaten by prey, and the prey is then eaten by a predator.

We also discovered that if any plant or animal is removed from a food chain, it can have a significant effect on all the other living things within it.  ​

The children chose their own food chains to act out, while the rest of the class guessed which plants and animals they were representing.
