Georgia O'keeffe inspired shells
Georgia O'Keeffe shells
Squirrel class enjoyed learning about the beautiful artwork of Georgia O'Keeffe. Using magnifying glasses, they looked closely at the fascinating shapes, patterns, and textures hidden within each shell, discovering details they might otherwise have missed. They experimented with a variety of drawing materials, including pencils, charcoal, oil pastels, and coloured pencils, to create different textures and effects. Inspired by O'Keeffe's striking close-up artwork, the children produced careful, detailed shell drawings that celebrated the unique beauty of the natural world.
Here are our final charcoal pieces.
