Dear Parents and Carers,
Huge congratulations to our Year 6 pupils for their incredible effort and determination throughout this week’s SATs assessments. I’m so proud of each and every one of them—not only for striving to do their very best, but also for the calm, mature, and focused way in which they approached the tests.

A big “Thank You” goes to all the parents for making sure the children arrived a little earlier each morning. The relaxed breakfasts shared with friends provided a great start to each day and made a real difference in helping the children feel settled and ready.
I’d also like to extend my thanks to the rest of the school community, for their flexibility and support. They adapted brilliantly to changes in routine and showed real respect by keeping noise to a minimum—setting a great example of teamwork and empathy. It will be the turn of our year 5s next year, along with the special privileges that come with being in Year 6!
The Year 6 children are also getting ready for their exciting residential trip to Bude next week. Myself and Mr Lovelass will meet them in the school car park on Sunday for a departure at 3pm.
The trip promises a fantastic mix of outdoor activities, including surfing, kayaking, abseiling, bodyboarding and team-building challenges. It’s a wonderful opportunity for children to develop independence, build confidence and strengthen friendships before they move on to secondary school.

We know they’ll make amazing memories, face new challenges with courage and represent our school with pride. A big thank you in advance to Mr Lovelass who is giving up his time and energy to make this trip possible!
Best wishes,
Corrinne Smith
