Dear Parents/Carers
This week in our assemblies, we have been learning about respect and how we show it in school. Respect means listening to others, using kind words, treating people fairly, and being gentle—not pushing, hitting, or hurting anyone.
We have been giving the children clear examples of respectful behaviour: helping classmates with their work, taking turns on the playground, listening when someone else is speaking, and tidying up after activities. Children have been practising these behaviours in the classroom, corridors, and playground, showing that they understand how to treat others with care and consideration.
SEND Support Plans Update
Following the recent assessments completed before the Christmas break, staff have been reviewing and updating the current SEND support plans for children in their classes. These updated plans will be shared with parents by email next week.
Parent Action: Please complete the Parent Voice section when you receive the plan. If you have any questions or would like to discuss your child’s support in more detail, you are welcome to request a meeting with the SENDCo and class teacher.
Year 5 Residential to London
This year, I will be supporting our Year 5 residential trip to London. I’m really looking forward to spending time with the children and taking part in the exciting activities planned for the visit.
I have met with the other staff from across the Trust who will be accompanying the trip, and we would like to invite Year 5 parents into school for a short meeting on Tuesday 20th January at 3.30pm. During this session, we will go through the trip itinerary and answer any questions you may have about the residential.
Best wishes
Corrinne Smith
