June 2008 Devon Schools Mix For the first time Umberleigh School children took part in the Devon Schools Mix at Westpoint Arena, Exeter. They visited various workshops where they could "have a go" and then all joined in with the "Big Sing" in the main arena.

February 2008 KS1 Multi Skills Activity The Infant class joined other schools in the South Molton Learning Community for a morning of fun and skills based activity at the Tarka Tennis Centre. The children relished the tasks presented to them and had a great morning. Here they are in action................
December 2007 Christmas Cabaret Following the children's delicious Christmas dinner t were treated to a cabaret where the children performed their wide ranging talents for our pleasure.
Christingle Service and Nativity Our annual Christingle service saw the infant children portraying the nativity story.
Victorian Christmas All the children went to Killerton House and Gardens to enjoy a Victorian Christmas. The house was decorated in the Victorian era and the children played parlour games and sang traditional carols.
The Fox's Tale As always the junior children, guided and inspired by Mrs Hyland, have written the annual school play. As usual it is a completely unique story and this year it was brought to life by the children at Umberleigh Village Hall on Friday, 14th December.
November 2007 Operation Christmas Child
"Children in Need Day" As part of the Children in Need Day all the pupils and staff at Umberleigh School came dressed in their pyjamas on Friday. They brought with them their own special teddy bears and the whole day was themed around bears. The children made bear biscuits, jointed bears, drew their bears and sang bear songs. The day ended with a "Paws for thought". Here are some pictures of the day..................
At the end of the day all the children placed their coins on a giant Pudsey Bear until he was covered. Then all the year 5 & 6's counted all the money, an amazing £43.00, which has been sent to Children in Need. Slowcoach comes to school
