at Umberleigh Primary School
Umberleigh School actively encourages its pupils to compete in all aspects of the school life as well as making the most of opportunities within the community. In the past few years pupils have gained awards in the following :-
Pam Parker Map Award - May 2007
Our Junior class created a map depicting Umberleigh Village. Some the children painted individual houses and buildings whilst others worked on the main map. They put all their work together and the map was displayed as part of the "Best Kept Village" competition in Umberleigh Village Hall. The map was then taken to the Devon County Show by our former chair of Governors, Mary Wilson, where it was awarded 1st prize in the Pam Parker Map Competition.
